Daybook
Keeps a log of your workday, so you don't have to.
What it does
Tracks your day
Notes which app and window you are in while you work, and for how long, on the days and hours you choose.
Adds the detail
Chrome tabs, VS Code files, git commits and branches, and the Teams chats you message.
Look back any day
Browse a History for any date, group it by visit or by app, and hide or delete what you don't want kept.
Daily progress report
Builds the report for one day or a range and copies it ready to paste into an Outlook email.
Your data stays with you
Everything is saved on your own PC.
One file per day, in your user folder. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, and you can open that folder from the app.
Installing
- Download and run Daybook-Setup. It installs for your user only and needs no admin rights.
- If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. The installer is not code-signed yet.
- Daybook starts in the tray. Open Settings to set your schedule and turn on the extras.
